For me 15 years ago making a career change was a matter of survival.

I had made a successful career for 20 years in the Television and Film Industry as a Produce/Director in New York City. In the making of TV Commercials and Industrial films for high level corporations, "I needed to save my life and slow down." So I decide to do what my passion had been all my life and that was Fishing. I started fishing when I was 3 years old, my mother had showed me how to catch a sunny on a diaper pin and a string and a stick. From that time on I was defiantly hooked. My start in fly fishing was when I saw a gentleman fly casting in Phila. PA, where a small creek ran threw my neighborhood. His casting was so exciting to watch that I had him show me a few times what he was doing, I was only 12 at the time. My dad had several boats and we did a lot of Saltwater fishing together in the New Jersey shore areas such as Great Bay, Barnegat Bay, Atlantic City, and Cape May area, before moving our boat to the Chesapeake Bay area.

While in the US Navy I served on a Salvage and Recovery Dive Ship and sailed the Caribbean Sea.  We fished a lot from the ship and while in port at most Islands. Back in the 70's I discovered fishing for freshwater Trout my passion and fished mostly in Northwestern Penna., where the waters were crystal clear and no crowds of fisherman. On one of my trips west to work in Calf., I made several stops on the way to fish the streams out West. On one trip heading back East from California I stopped to fish for the first time for Bonefish in the Keys this was Jan. of 92. Never seen one before and only read an article then in Fly Fishing Magazine the only magazine back then on Fly Fishing. They talked about the Keys and Islamorada I just had to give it a try, so I hooked up with a guide and we fished the Oceanside. On one of my first casts to a bonefish I hooked up and the I was hooked also, that day we saw several more fish but I learned a lot and stayed on at the resort. I keep staying week after week trying for another bonefish, till I finely gave in and found an apartment. Small but great for a fisherman. I fished almost everyday for 2 years bought a skiff from a local guide and learned the waters and the fish acre by acre of the Florida Bay. Developed my own patterns of fly along the way and met some new and interesting anglers also. In 1993 I received my Coast Guard License and was in the guiding business. Fished out of the Slow Poke for a year till I had a backcountry skiff made to order from a shop in Ft Lauderdale, that was making them from a 60's hull called the Fiber Craft. The boat builder was in the Keys at that time when they made the Fiber Craft, down in Pine Key. The skiff is 17' and draws 7" of water so it still get to those bonefish and can handle a bay chop without getting all wet. At that time I was also doing several Fly Fishing shows in the Northeast part of the country, Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Canada. At these shows I was displaying my fly patterns and taking trips for the Keys. This was my start and to this day I am still doing the Fly Show in New Jersey and the International Fly Tiers Symposium. I have been published in several books and magazines with my patterns most recently in "Patterns of the Masters Volume Six" FFF, "Fly Pattern Encyclopedia" FFF, "The Contemporary Fly Tier" Dave Klausmeyer Editor of Fly Tier magazine. And in Europe the "Les plus belles MOUCHES De Peche. Book of flies from around the world.

On July 4th, 2003 I have gotten married to a wonderful women "Tomoko" that loves to fish and be in the outdoors and gives her time when not with me to teach children with disabilities how to deal with life and there every day existence.

Also we put on the market a Jig pattern that I have used for years and call them "Tails Up" jigs. They are a nice white buck tail jig with a white and red nose lead head. At this time we have them in 30 tackle shops around the State of Florida. All these jigs are tied by my wife Tomoko and myself, and cast and hand dipped with a vinyl paint 3 coats. This pattern and color will catch every fish out there. They come in standard jig and with a stainless wire weed guard also. Check them out here on the product site along with my flies.

I gave up a lot in my life to be here and enjoy being with people that love to fish also and "Give them the best day of there life for the day" is my Motto.

So come join me and Fish the most remarkable area in the United States the Florida Keys.
